Verjuice, often overlooked but rich in flavour and history, is a fascinating ingredient in gastronomy. Made from the juice of unfermented green grapes, it has a subtle, delicate acidity, perfectly balanced to enhance a multitude of dishes. Used since ancient times, verjuice was a mainstay of medieval cuisine for many years, before falling into oblivion, only to be revived in recent years.

It has also found its place in the world of non-alcoholic drinks, offering a refreshing and sophisticated alternative. Indeed, its subtle acidity and fruity notes make it an ideal ingredient for creating mocktails and thirst-quenching drinks, ideal for any occasion. Whether paired with fruit syrups, fresh herbs or even simply mixed with sparkling water, verjuice adds a touch of originality to every sip.

A challenge taken up by a daring brand

VERTSCHI – Verjus in the spotlight

Vertschi is a brand of Weingut im Sternen. In 2016, the opportunity arose to rediscover early-ripening grapes. That’s how the idea for Vertschi was born, setting off an extraordinary adventure. The founders, Andreas Meier, Markus Utiger and Roland Zeller, form a passionate trio combining viticulture, oenology and the culinary arts.

Vertschi, which has been on the market for less than a decade, has become an essential reference in Switzerland. It is not just a sensory experience, but also a visual work of art. This innovative Swiss drink goes beyond simple taste pleasure, and is fully in line with contemporary trends in No and Low alcohol.

Award-winning design: German Brand Award 2022

A complete rebranding: Vertschi refreshes itself

Vertschi has been honoured with the German Brand Award 2022, a well-deserved recognition for excellence in branding and design. The new logo, designed by communications agency Megura, is not only applied flexibly to different sizes of glass bottle, but also emphasises the drink’s noble appearance and elegance. This logo reinforces Vertschi’s position as an exclusive refreshment, fully deserving of the praise it has received.

Vertschi is not just a sensory experience, but also a visual work of art. Vertschi’s rebranding was much more than just a visual facelift. It touched on every aspect of the brand’s presence, from the overhaul of its identity in the marketplace to its impact online.

The old down-to-earth look gave way to a clear, minimalist design. The website and online shop have been designed in harmony with the new bottle design, creating a fresh and noble overall experience.

In addition, Vertschi now offers the option of personalising its packaging for special events or corporate gifts, adding a touch of personalised elegance to each bottle.

An identity that speaks for itself

The slogan “Mais bien suur” emerged as the ideal link, highlighting the drink’s precious acidity. This slogan embodies the spirit of Vertschi, adding a speaking dimension to its identity. The end result is a new look that goes beyond aesthetics, bringing a freshness to the brand.

No & Low Alcohol” trend

Served over crushed ice and garnished with slices of fresh fruit, this cocktail is the epitome of elegance and summer freshness.
