Streulis Privatbrennerei : gin bottles as a canvas for creativity
The Streuli family have been running their farm in Äussere Rietwies since 1869 and have dedicated themselves to producing excellent brandies for generations. Urs and Patricia Streuli are the 5th generation to run the business and attach great importance to quality. They only use fully ripe, aromatic and healthy fruit from their farm on Lake Zurich, where they cultivate around 230 high-stem fruit trees, some of which are very old. The family has specialised in particular in single-variety brandies made from old, almost forgotten fruit varieties that are rarely found on the market. The production of these distillates is very limited due to the limited number of trees, resulting in a total annual production volume of around 3,000 bottles.
Gin bottle designs: an ode to creativity
The gin bottles from Streulis Privatbrennerei are not only a visual highlight, but also a testament to craftsmanship. Our collaboration with Univerre on the design of several gin creations has always led to impressive results that reflect our passion and dedication to every detail.
Gin and Coffee – an extraordinary gin bottle
When the Univerre team held the “Gin and Coffee” bottle in their hands for the first time, we were simply amazed. The bottle is presented in an elegant black colour that contrasts sharply with the prominent “Gin and Coffee” lettering. Surrounded by a vivid depiction of the herbs and leaves, this creates a visual experience that appeals to the senses.
This special edition combines the sophistication of exquisite gin herbs with the full-bodied depth of a fruity, hand-roasted Arabica coffee blend. The result is a flavour experience that is both extraordinary and idiosyncratic, pushing the boundaries of traditional spirits.
The creation of such a coffee-flavoured gin and the outstanding design of the bottle reflect the pursuit of innovation. Every element, from the exquisite content to the thoughtful packaging design, emphasises this project’s commitment to quality and originality. “Gin and Coffee” is more than just a drink; it is a tribute to packaging design, distillation and an invitation to rediscover the world of flavours.
Every element of the bottle design is a tribute to the tradition and craftsmanship that is expressed in every bottle of Streulis Privatbrennerei.
Noble White Gine – a personalised gin bottle with edelweiss and the Leontopodium Alpinum flower
A harmonious composition of alpine and classic herbs selected for gin, carefully distilled to create a unique taste experience. The essence of these herbs is artfully screen-printed directly onto the bottle, a delicate light blue being used to represent edelweiss, while the striking inscription on the back glows pure white. This choice of colours underlines the elegance and purity of our gin.
The back of the bottle also features a careful description of the fine spirit:
“Noble White” is the direct translation of Edelweiss, the flower and symbol of the Swiss Alps. The noble white flower Leontopodium Alpinum is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
Technology and Refinement : Streulis Privatbrennerei Royal Gin
The combination of juniper and blackcurrant has long aroused great enthusiasm, leading to the frequent addition of a small dose of blackcurrant brandy to their gin and tonics. With Royal Gin, this idea has been integrated into a single product.
The gin is made from carefully selected natural ingredients. As with Zurich Dry Gin, the botanicals are individually distilled and then refined with brandy from their own blackcurrant berries.
This bottle is subtly decorated with circles evoking the distinctive shape of the blackcurrant. Eighteen of these circles are intertwined around the brand names ‘Streulis’, ‘Gin’ and ‘Royal’. Produced using the digital printing method, the bottle’s colours are faithful to the company’s precise wishes.
