1987
The adventure begins in Sierre, in the canton of Valais, with the inauguration of our first washing facilities. Capacity: six million bottles. An ambitious first step towards excellence.
1991
We take another step forward by acquiring a state-of-the-art automated washing facility, offering a capacity of 24 million bottles to meet the growing market demand.
1992
Our determination to stay at the forefront of technology is demonstrated by the inauguration of our brand-new washing centre, symbolising our commitment to efficiency and quality.
1993
As a major player in the field of glass bottle washing, Univerre has consistently committed to promoting a sustainable economy.
This commitment is demonstrated not only by the implementation of efficient washing equipment but also by conducting extensive studies and research on water-soluble, self-adhesive labels.
These efforts resulted in the publication of two brochures titled “From Dream to Reality Part 1” and “From Dream to Reality Part 2”, published in 1993.
2000
Univerre establishes itself as the leader in industrial bottle washing in Switzerland, washing up to 20 million bottles per year.
2013
Always looking towards the future, we invest in the modernisation of our washing centre, thereby ensuring impeccable quality and hygiene standards.
2016
Aware of the environmental impact of its washing activities, Univerre continued its research in 2016 to develop water-soluble labels.
2023
After the studies on washable labels in 1993 and 2016, Univerre deepened its research in 2023 to find labels that can be washed off with water.
2024
Reintroduction of the multiway system for glass bottles. An innovative concept that breaks down the barriers of the industry: washable labels, washing bottles in various sizes and shapes, optimised logistics with our electric trucks (starting in 2025), and reusable crates that provide practical storage solutions.
