That’s why the different fruits and vegetables should be tried individually in the first few weeks to make sure your baby tolerates them and doesn’t have any allergic reactions. What’s more, when introducing a baby’s first little pots, small quantities should be preferred.

Baby food recipe – For a complete diet

In the first few weeks, you should introduce one variety of vegetable at a time. Steaming is preferable as it preserves the essential vitamins. At first, vegetables should be well puréed. From 9 to 10 months, baby porridge can be mashed with a fork.

It is recommended that baby porridges consist of ⅔ of vegetables and ⅓ of starchy foods. Once your baby has got used to baby food, you can gradually increase the quantity. As soon as the quantity has reached around 200g, you can gradually stop the milk. The average quantity for a complete diet is between 180g and 300g.

Freezing baby food

First of all, it’s best to heat treat the hermetically sealed jars. To sterilise, simply leave the glass jars, lid and seal in a pan of boiling water for around 10 minutes.

Once the jars are full, leave them to cool and place them in the freezer.
