Baumgartner Weinbau AG in Tegerfelden, Aargau, is the product of three generations of wine lovers. Since 2002, Lukas and Sandra have been running this family-run winery with their three children Noel, Michel and Danielle and the support of a committed team and loyal volunteers. Driven by a constant quest for innovation and a sustainable philosophy, the family strives to produce wines that combine tradition and respect for the environment.

With around twenty grape varieties carefully selected to suit their terroir and microclimate, each wine reflects a unique character and personal style. The winery, which has been awarded the Fair’n Green label, places great importance on sustainability, biodiversity and resource-friendly practices: no herbicides, environmentally-friendly facilities and the use of lightweight bottles. In 2022, a major ecological breakthrough was achieved with the ‘Pionierrebberg Neuberg’ project, which promotes habitats for flora and fauna thanks to fungus-resistant grape varieties and special provisions.

At Baumgartner, every bottle embodies a sincere commitment: to offer its customers unforgettable experiences while preserving the richness of its vineyards for future generations.

Brüderwerk: The first wine from the Baumgartner brothers

Noel and Michel, passionate young winemakers, are proud to present their first joint wine under the name Brüderwerk. This new series of wines is the fruit of their overflowing creativity, where each cuvée is a real wine-making adventure. The two winemakers enjoy exploring new styles, grape varieties and winemaking methods, creating wines that are always unique and surprising. Brüderwerk’s very first vintage is a Chardonnay Orange, an innovative wine in which maceration, normally reserved for red wines, has been applied to the white variety. This process gives the Chardonnay an intense colour and remarkable length on the palate, and marks the start of a promising series.

The launch of the 1st Brüderwerk was a great success, not only for the quality of the Chardonnay Orange, but also for its innovative design. Noel and Michel wanted to go beyond the simple contents of the bottle and create a visual experience as unique as their wine.

Brüderwerk: A personalised wine bottle with a fresh, bold design

The launch of the 1st Brüderwerk was a great success, not only for the quality of the Chardonnay Orange, but also for its innovative design. Noel and Michel wanted to go beyond the simple contents of the bottle and create a visual experience as unique as their wine. To achieve this, they opted for digital printing, a boundlessly modern technique that allows the glass bottle to be entirely personalised.

The key to this success? The collaboration with the young graphic designer Corina Cavelti (FABL GmbH), who created a bold and refreshing layout in perfect harmony with the spirit of Brüderwerk. Her design breaks away from traditional codes, bringing freshness and modernity while emphasising the unique character of the wine. The bottle not only contains a great wine, but becomes a collector’s item in its own right.

For winemakers, the objective is clear: they want to offer their customers something truly special, something that reflects their innovative and creative approach. Digital printing makes it possible to meet this need for personalisation, while guaranteeing an impeccable finish. The project was a complete success, both visually and in terms of the way it was received by the public, who were seduced by the originality and elegance of the bottle.
