In recent years, gin has undergone a veritable renaissance, far surpassing its traditional image as the classic jenever often associated with Victorian England. Once seen as a simple, uncomplicated spirit, it has become a global phenomenon that is revolutionising the spirits industry. Today, gin appeals to connoisseurs and novices alike, thanks to an incredible diversity of flavours, production techniques and styles.

A drink rich in innovation and flavour

Craft distilleries have played a central role in this transformation by pushing back the boundaries of creativity. By using local ingredients, rare plants, exotic spices and seasonal fruit, they are able to offer unique flavour profiles that vary according to region and tradition. As a result, each bottle tells a story and offers a unique sensory experience, from delicate, floral gins to more robust, spicy creations.

But gin is much more than just a drink. It’s a way of life. Specialist gin bars, tasting events and creation workshops attract a growing community of enthusiasts. Whether it’s a classic gin and tonic, an elegant martini or contemporary cocktails devised by mixologists, gin is part of modern trends, embodying both sophistication and innovation.

The rise of top-of-the-range gin

This trend is also accompanied by a growing demand for premium products. Consumers are looking for gins that are carefully crafted, using high-quality ingredients and traditional methods. Elegant bottles, complex flavours and traditional production processes add to the appeal of these top-of-the-range gins.

Personalisation and exclusivity: unique gin bottles

In this fast-moving world, personalisation is a key issue. Enthusiasts and brands alike are looking for unique, made-to-measure gin bottles that reflect a strong, original identity. At Univerre, we offer the opportunity to push back the boundaries of creativity by proposing innovative solutions: from the creation of a personalised bottle shape from an exclusive mould, to the integration of graphic finishes thanks to modern glass printing techniques such as screen printing and digital printing.

These technologies transform each bottle into a true work of art, incorporating complex designs, elegant patterns or graphic elements that capture the very essence of the product. When combined with bespoke shapes, they add a unique visual and tactile dimension, creating a memorable experience for consumers.

At Univerre, we use our expertise to help our customers create unique bottles. In this way, each creation becomes much more than a simple container: it is a powerful tool for telling a story, expressing a brand’s identity and standing out in the competitive world of gin.

A bespoke bottle of gin: an exceptional project

We were given the opportunity to design an entirely bespoke bottle for one of our clients, an exceptional project inspired by the Alpine landscape. This collaboration enabled us to create a bottle whose lines and details pay homage to the Eiger and its north face.

For this project, a unique mould was designed, and every detail of the bottle was thought out to offer a visual and tactile experience, just like the peaks it celebrates.

This type of project highlights Univerre’s expertise in creating made-to-measure bottles. Working closely with our customers, we transform a creative vision into a unique bottle that embodies not only the excellence of the product it contains, but also the story and environment that inspire it.
